Project Overview
WorkReady Mobile is a comprehensive multi-tenant SaaS educational management platform for educational institutions, workforce development programs and training organizations — serving 50 tenants (24 live) with complete data isolation, custom branding and tenant-specific configurations and database connections. It covers classes, programs, schools, messaging, announcements, assignments, attendance, goals, assessments, registration workflows, document signing, calendars, a job board, reporting and more.
My Role
- Software Engineer → Sr. Software Engineer & Technical Lead → Assistant Project Manager
- Upgraded PHP to 8.3, Laravel 6 to the latest version, and MySQL 5 to 8.4
- Upgraded jQuery code to Vue.js 2; stabilized the system with critical bug fixes
- Optimized APIs and queries using New Relic monitoring and database indexing
- Built events management with full timezone handling, SSO, and 15+ integrations
- Managed the client and a team of 6 — requirements, system design, PR reviews

Multi-step registration processes with approvals, plus DocuSign/Adobe Sign document signing and versioning.

Results & Impact
- 50 tenants onboarded, 24 live in production
- 40% reduction in database query execution times; 50%+ overall performance improvement

- Progressed from developer to Assistant Project Manager managing the client and a team of 6
